Al Gore announced his strategy for powering the USA entirely from ‘renewable’ resources -a mixture of solar and wind - by a decade from now. (Are the sun and wind ‘renewable’? How?)

The ten-year time-span, and the ‘big project’ are borrowed from JF Kennedy’s speech announcing the plan to put a man on the moon. Gore makes no secret of it, indeed, he is overtly trying to capture the same spirit, and sense of historical moment by paraphrasing Kennedy.

Enjoy clean energy with solar powered houseplant

How about having a garden and some percent of the plants in it collect solar power? Tech-Temple is reporting that Japan’s National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Mitsubishi Corp. and Tokki Corp. have developed a prototype solar cell module that realistically takes on the look of a common houseplant / Read here. The idea behind this invention is very cool infact. Flowers, artificial or not are incorporated in our world widely. With this kind of technology possible at normal price i think much people will rearrange their homes, garden or whatever with this kind of stuff

think green batteries

In order to our friendly stand and willingness for support to the Think Green campaign, today i am going to present you the winner of the UK National Energy Efficiency Award for Consumer Product 2007! Do You know that more than 420 million batteries are thrown away every year just in the UK? That is creating tonnes of toxic landfill around us, what a shame some of us might say. Now you don’t even need a charger! This ingenious NiMH AA battery has a USB socket hidden in the lift-off top. To charge it, You must simply to plug it into any USB port. .
Of course You can charge it using an ordinary NiMH charger also. These USB cell can be re-used literally hundreds of times, and we think this is great example for think green gift.

As they confirm nearby $13bn must be invested for about short period that is no longer than ten years in securing water supplies in the face of climate change! $1bn for the National Urban Water and Desalination Plan, $250m for the National Water Security Plan for Cities and Towns, and $250m for the National Rainwater and Greywater Initiative are just few of the main parts of the government’s project. Under greywater scheme, households should be able to receive rebates of up to $500 for buying and installing rainwater tanks and greywater products in a bid to encourage consumers to do their bit to use water more wisely.
