take action -global warming!national day of climate action

Probably you remember in January when the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and its good friends in media trumpeted that 2006 was the warmest year on record for the contiguous United States? Well, have a look how they do it united one year later..
On april 14th 2007, Americans called on their leaders to act immediately to stop global warming. In all 50 states, at more than 1400 iconic places across the nation, they have been united around a common call to action: “Step It Up Congress: Cut Carbon 80% by 2050.”
After that long and impressive series of pictures and videos that i’ve saw today,i want to give you once again one of the million ways to get involved!

One world one future

That’s right! Am the one who want to believe too that the Global Warming is not due to human contribution of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and some science medias claims that it is “the greatest deception in the history of science” .Yes, it is true that we are wasting energy, time and trillions of dollars while creating unnecessary fear and consternation over an issue with no scientific justification (we also believe). Today i saw (and will give for example), that Environment Canada brags about spending $3.7 billion in the last five years dealing with climate change almost all on propaganda trying to defend an indefensible scientific position while at the same time closing weather stations and failing to meet legislated pollution targets.
But..there is one thing i want to mark on the climate changer public blog, and that is how political the entire Global Warming debate has become. It is understandable how easy and well paid you can be by some oil companies, in case your name as scientist talks and that debates doesn’t mean nothing to your one and only target - to earn more and more dollars. And, because i don’t want to turn this topic now to “truth and enlightenment”, because if we have to go back to basics, then someone of us is not at the proper web place maybe. Trying to advance in the right direction, we have to keep the topic alive with obective, even opposite facts and theories;just like this!! It is not today also when i saw about the Canadian Solar scientists which predict that, by 2020, the sun will be starting into its weakest Schwabe solar cycle of the past two centuries, likely leading to unusually cool conditions on Earth, they expect. It may continue well beyond one 11-year cycle, as did the Little Ice Age, should be a priority for governments, they says. It is more important now to talk about how to stay in touch with the modern climate science and which to believe.. Global warming is a dramatically urgent and serious problem. We don’t need to wait for governments to solve this problem: each one of us can bring an important help adopting a more responsible lifestyle: starting from little, everyday things. It’s the only reasonable way to save our planet, before it is too late!

Here i want ot share with you one very cool video i found about the e-waste problem! It shows the story of The Basel Action Network, who contributed documentary footage to this video, compiled a list of Responsible Recyclers that will not export your old computer.

You can check out their list here. The video is brought to you by the folks at goodmagazine.com who have a impressive collection of youtube vids on different subjects “for people who give a damn”.

Temperatures in Tibet have been up to 5 degrees Celsius (9 degrees Fahrenheit) above average so far this month on the plateau region. It will be hotter by 2.2 degrees to 2.6 degrees than at the beginning of this century, Shanghai Morning Post reported these days. “Fast thawing of frozen soil in the plateau might greatly increase the instability of the ground, causing more grave geological problems in the frozen soil areas where major projects such as highways or railways run through,” says Wu Ziwang, a frozen soil specialist at the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The regional government has built many small houses scattered in pastoral areas, mainly along the Tibet railway, to improve the living conditions for locals, because the retreat of grass lands forced herdsmen to pasture their sheep and horses to farther places. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is 4,000 meters above the sea level and is the source of the Yellow River, Yangtze River and the Mekong River.

It is expected that in September a joint Indian-Chinese research team will survey the remote mountains and monitor the sources of the Sutlej and Brahmaputra rivers — an indication of the international repercussions for water supplies.

According to the data collected, the whole of the Tanggula Range of mountains is suffering higher temperatures, lower rainfall and greater vaporization losses, an overall trend towards drier weather. Over the past 40 years, water losses due to global warming and vaporization have reduced water volume in the earth in this region and the grassland is drying out. Low rainfall and dry, hot weather have resulted in drought in some areas such as Xigaze and Shannan, are some of the hot topics around the global warming facts around the climate changes in Tibet.

Meanwhile, most parts of Tibet reported a 50-percent decline in rainfall, which measured less than one millimeter at 17 of the region’s 32 meteorological stations between early December and the end of February.

Travellers At Risk From Global Warming On Tibet Railway was one of the hottest topic on the web since Qing Dahe, head of China’s Meteorological Bureau told that “Maintenance costs (for the railway) could be pushed up because of the unusual climatic conditions. Safety of passengers on the new railway and a new highway in Tibet could be affected by global warming.”

Northern Hemisphere Temperature Anomaly 1
It is true that Homo sapiens have for at least 100,000 years learned how to adapt to changes in climate and it’s more than biological or logical evolution that we have met now front of the problem. Answering some of the most pressing global change questions that remain unresolved, NESDIS provides timely access to global environmental data from satellites and other sources to promote, protect, & enhance the Nation’s economy, security, environment, & quality of life.
“Farmers will be the first to feel the heat from global warming as they grapple with new and aggressive crop pests, summer heat stress and other sobering challenges that could strain family farms to the limit, warns David Wolfe, a Cornell expert on the effects of climate change on agriculture.” -says Science Daily and continues: “Between 1–2 giga tons of carbon a year are sequestered in pools on land in the temperate and boreal regions of the earth, which represents 15–30% of annual global emissions of carbon from fossil fuels and industrial activities.” How the greenhouse effect change it? Global warming is already affecting the world we know, endangering polar bears, shortening ski seasons and creating more intense storms that we have met in the near past. Here we are providing link for the full report.
